"The Light Within" to exhibit at the Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club in New York City
Great news! "The Light Within" was just accepted into the Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club's 122nd Annual Juried Exhibition at the National Arts Club in Manhattan (details below). For a brief walk through history, Ms. Lorillard was the only woman among the 106 founders of the Met in New York City. The club was founded in 1896 for the "woman artist". The National Arts Club is a private club founded in 1898 – “to stimulate, foster, and promote public interest in the fine arts”. Located in a Victorian Gothic Revival brownstone building at 15 Gramercy Park South. Here, women were offered full membership from the club's inception.
